Rather than write a how to or a must do tithing book, Mr. LeBlanc presents people actively living their faith. He doesn’t go into depth as to why tithing is necessary. He gives people the chance to describe their experiences of how they started tithing and what has come from their actions.<br /> <br />I liked this book. There are numerous books on tithing, and they all have one thing in common. That’s the idea that tithing is a must do. Second theme throughout these books deals with the outpouring of blessings. “Tithing” is not one of these.<br /><br />It’s said that the wallet is the last thing surrendered after receiving salvation. Why would anyone want to hand over their hard earned money to an institution that promises untold blessings, but can’t tell you when or how much to expect? No one would without assurances. That’s why I would recommend this book for use in discipleship classes. New and old converts can learn from the living examples Mr. LeBlanc describes. I'm waiting to receive my first book from Thomas Nelson publishing. It's called "Tithing" by Douglas LeBlanc. I wanted to start with a book that has meaning. What better topic than the area of life that we hold back from God more than any other.
